28.05.2007 MINSK AUTOMOBILE PLANT RECEIVED NEW IMPORT EQUIPMENT

Within the scope of the program of technical reequipment of production Minsk automobile plant received new equipment.

In galvanic workshop of thermal-galvanic complex (TGC) installation of a new line of galvanizing in the drums, intended for galvanizing of small details in an automatic mode of the Czech manufacture is being completed. In machine-assembling production (MAP) installation and adjustment of German gear-shaping and gear-grinding equipment is being completed.

In forge-body production (FBP) of Minsk automobile plant the installation of a German line of cataphoresis has begun. This line is intended for final painting of units and details of trucks and buses chassis, a line is planned to start in September - October, 2007.

In sewing workshops at working area of a dry-cleaner two Italian defatting machines for dry cleaning are installed. Such a machine can treat 180 kg of working clothes per day.

In the first quarter of 2007 the furnace for the chemicothermal processing, intended for hardening details of the rear axle was delivered at he factory. For Osipovichi plant of power units the filling machine was bought.

The unique Belgian equipment with program control for punching holes in trucks' side members and for manufacture of overbending under diesel engine was delivered in August, 2007 and will be put into operation up to the end of year. Earlier this operation was carried out by press. The new expensive equipment will be installed in the Forge factory of heavy punchings (Zhodino town). It will allow to unload available capacities on the parent enterprise and considerably raise quality of manufactured side members and to lower labour-intensiveness.

On May, 24th the spring-winding automatic device was delivered to the forging shop and it will be installed in calibration- blank production shop. The automatic device will enable to eliminate hard manual work.

In August-September, 2007 the delivery of the German equipment for processing of the onboard pinion gear, consisting of the vertically-lingering machine tool and the machine tool for sharpening of the broaches is planned.

The new equipment is purchased according to the five years' plan of modernization of the manufacture, providing investments into a fixed capital at a level of 300 million US dollars that will allow creating necessary capacities for mass release of trucks and buses of new generation.
