The winners of the Republican contest "The Best Exporter of 2018" were announced on May 23, 2019 during a solemn ceremony of awarding in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic. The competition was traditionally organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the ministries of architecture and construction, health, foreign affairs, forestry, industry, agriculture and food, transport and communications, the economy, the State Military Committee, Belgospischeprom, Bellesbumphim and Belneftekhim concerns and a number of other government agencies, organizations and business unions.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Turchin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technologies Alexander Shumilin, Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee Sergey Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the Bellegprom concern Vladislav Zaitsev, Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ivan Vezhnovets, Deputy Minister of Health Boris Androsyuk, Director of the Financial Monitoring Department State Control Committee Vyacheslav Reut, Director of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yuri Gorelik took part in this ceremony as well as other representatives of the republican and local government bodies, the diplomatic staff, the business and cultural elite of the country, the mass media.
At the end of 2018, 151 enterprises entered the final stage of the competition. The competition was held in 22 nominations in which the winners were determined, and the companies that scored as close to the winner as possible and showed outstanding results in the export of products and services were awarded incentive diplomas.

According to the organizers of the competition, the total export volume of the contest finalists is $ 14.76 billion, or 35% of the total export volume over the past year in the country. The geography of their supplies amounted to 140 countries. New markets in 2018 have mastered 82 finalists.
"The Automobile Trailers and Bodies Factory "MAZ-KUPAVA" LLC (Minsk) and the JSC "Minsk Automobile Plant" - the managing company of the BELAVTOMAZ holding (Minsk) were awarded incentive diplomas in the nomination "Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking". Let's recall that Minsk Automobile Plant became the winner in this nomination in 2011.
