Last week, a two-days visit of the French delegation led by Didier Canesse, Ambassador of France to Belarus, took place in Minsk.
The program of the delegation was very extensive. They planned to visit many Belarusian enterprises, including auto giant companies such as MAZ and BelAZ. After the negotiations with Dmitry Krutoj, First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the meeting program was doubled. French companies have felt a great interest in their products from the side of potential Belarusian partners and journalists.
"2018 seems to us very successful for entering the Belarusian market," said representative of La Fonte Ardennaise, the manufacturer of spare parts for compressors and gearboxes, at a press conference in the residence of the Ambassador of France. "If we are already late for other markets in Eastern Europe, still Belarus is open, I felt this at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy."
According to the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, "the visit of the French delegation to Minsk is a positive signal for the establishment of bilateral relations between France and the Republic of Belarus."
Didier Canesse, accompanied by employees of French Embassies in the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and also by the representatives of French companies visited the production site of Minsk Automobile Plant. Members of the delegation visited not only the exhibition of vehicles, but also the main assembling line. Then the French side held negotiations with the CEOs of Minsk Automobile Plant. Representatives of French companies saw great potential here and held talks on possible cooperation. The director for strategy and development of the company producing spare parts for compressors and gearboxes La Fonte Ardennaise expressed its readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation.
